Vivek is 54 years old and brings with him over 32 years of professional experience as techno commercial leader, running various businesses from inception to growth phase, building teams and creating markets. Vivek has spent over 25 years in Renewable Energy space. Starting with Wind in 2000 when he joined Suzlon to solar in all its forms from solar thermal, concentrated, PV to Geothermal and Waste heat from steel and cement sector mainly. His tryst waste to wealth started in 2016 to create low thermal conductive building materials from industrial waste and then graduated to Compressed Biogas (CBG) from agro residue and industrial and Municipal waste in 2019. He seeded the CBG business at Thermax Limited in their EPC division – marking the entry of India’s largest EPC company in its segment entering CBG space at that point in time.

His last responsibility, before joining SUMA was at India’s largest private enterprise Reliance as the Business Head for the start up CBG business at Reliance, giving a new direction to CBG sector in India. He has been instrumental in past 4 years in shaping the Green Energy policies in general and CBG is specific at state as well as Central levels, to help the markets grow. He has also been instrumental in getting some globally leading technologies to India after assessing multiple technologies from across the globe.
