Santosh Rai is the Operations Director and Chief Business Officer
(CBO) and holds the position of Director at HCC Infrastructure Company
Limited , an HCC subsidiary and Steiner India Ltd.
Mr. Rai has over 23 years of experience in the construction sector,
with a core focus in the areas of business development, construction
management, planning and execution of infrastructure projects. His
current responsibilities involve driving the company’s revenue by acquiring new orders and managing the
business operations of projects in his portfolio. He began his career in 2001 as a Site Engineer for the Delhi
Metro Rail Project. From 2002 to 2005, he was responsible for the planning and construction of a large
elevated road corridor in New Delhi.
He joined HCC in April 2005 as Planning Engineer at the iconic Bandra Worli Sea Link project. He was
responsible for the planning and construction of the cable stayed bridges of the Sea Link. This was the first
cable stay bridges constructed in open seas in India. He was awarded with a ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ by
the Government of Maharashtra for his extraordinary contribution in construction of this engineering marvel.
For his outstanding performance, Mr. Rai was honoured with Excellence Awards in consecutive Financial
years 2012 -13, 2013-14, 2014-15.
Mr. Rai is a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kuvempu
University, Karnataka and also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Advance Construction Management from
National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR), Pune.
