Prof Er Rajiv Nehru is currently working as Dean, Larsen and Toubro Institute of Project Management and has a long and varied experience of 30 years in Education, Professional Training (in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East), and Construction Management. He is a top ranker in Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from AV College of Engineering, Sangamner (Maharashtra) and a Master of Engineering (Construction Management) from Government College of Engineering, Pune. He has also attended Senior Management Program in Business Management at IIM, Ahmedabad.
He has completed various certification programmes in Advanced Project Management, FIDIC, Contract Management, Building Information Modelling etc.
He was awarded the prestigious British Chevening Scholarship in 2006 to study Environmental Management and Sustainable Development from University of Wales, Bangor in the UK. He possesses Diploma in Materials Management from Indian School of Labour Education, Chennai. He was awarded India Achievers’’ Award 2024 by India Achievers’ Forum for Outstanding Professional Achievement and Contribution towards Nation Building. He is on the academic council of many reputed institutions like MIT ADT University, KIIT University, Adithya Institutes etc.
Prior to joining L&T, Mr. Nehru was with Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors of UK and was serving as In Market Lead, Asia Pacific. Earlier he was associated in senior leadership roles with companies like Rohan Builders, HCC Limited, Real Estate Academy for Developers (READ), Pune, NICMAR etc. He also established his own institute in Pune, Nehru Institute of Construction Enterprise (NICE). He has worked, in his professional advisory capacity with over 200 Indian and 15 International organisations in more than 15 countries.
