Mr. Purushothama Reddy is having Mechanical Engineering background, with rich experience in stainless steel – for more than 32 Years. He is passionate about stainless steel, he is an instrumental in many applications to introduce the use of stainless steel for the first time. He is playing a core role in material selection to address the corrosion in all environments.

Mr. Purushothama Reddy is the instrumental to introduce alternative grade 1.4509 for Elevator Segment in 2010; Duplex stainless steel for Bridges and Railway Bridges, Wagons and Rail Cars; Decorative SS for Ship Building & Elevator & Infra projects; Higher Austenitic SS for Automotive / Cryogenic Tanks, Pharmaceutical and the industry got immensely benefitted then and even now.

Mr. Purushothama Reddy presented various technical papers in more than 200 seminars / workshops / webinars to share his knowledge on stainless steel. He did contribute immensely for the industry to address the corrosion mitigation through various platforms – NACE International / CII / BIS / CII-CMC / SERC / ICI. Delivers guest lectures in various Engineering Universities to share his knowledge on corrosion mitigation through right material selection in Stainless Steel.

Mr. Reddy was a key instrumental in creating the new Indian Standard for High Strength Stainless Steel Reinforcement Bars – IS 16651:2017 and its successful implementation for the demanding infra structures.

Mr. Reddy has an affinity to share his knowledge on stainless steel to one and all at all level – from academic to practicing engineers to the decision makers and concerned stake holders.
Mr. Purushothama Reddy served National and International organization and currently serving the Inventor of Stainless Steela and Global Leader in stainless steel, Outokumpu in the capacity of Director – Business Development.
