Dr. R. D. Tripathi, a doctorate in Air Pollution Impact Assessment and Control from Banaras Hindu University, has more than 30 years’ experience in Ports, Shipping, Inland Navigation, Ship Construction, major hazard Industries, thermal power etc while serving under public and private sectors in various roles. His areas of expertise include port (planning, operation, maintenance & administration), maritime and inland navigations, disaster management, risk management, FESG (finance, environment, social and governance), ensuring sustainability in business processes etc. He has been associated with environmental aspects of maritime navigation at global level as Indian representative in Environmental Commission of PIANC (a global network of professionals working for sustainable waterborne transport, headquartered in Brussels). He has been a pioneer in environmental auditing of industrial establishments and also written a book on Environmental Auditing.
Dr. Tripathi has been member in various committees connected with planning of ports, sustainable dredging, integrated coastal zone management, sustainable evacuation of cargo from ports, maritime safety and crisis management etc.
Currently he is leading the team of multidisciplinary experts for helping organisations attain sustainability by analysing critical aspects of business operations.
