Dr. Aruna Sharma is a Practitioner Development Economist. She was Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and IT and also worked as Secretary Steel in Govt. of India. She drafted the SteelPolicy 2017 and the procurement preference to Made in India. Maximum BIS standards for steel were made in her tenure . The GFR amendment from cost to life cycle cost has been game changer to consumption of steel. She was a Member of Reserve Bank of India’s High-level Committee on Deepening the digital payments in India . She works in field of Digital Transformation, e-Governance , FinTech, Digital Assets as well as core sectors like Steel and Mining. She has development and successfully led the panchayat level governance model. Presently, Dr. Aruna is on the Board of Directors for some companies and writes regularly on Economy, Digital and Social Innovation and Rural Development. As an author, she has 5 best seller books to her credit, latest one being, ” Dancing towards $5Trillion economy through Holistic Ride”Her latest book published by Cambridge scholars on Ensuring that SDG goals do not become rhetoric . Focus on system based approach for better targeting to resolve 11 out of 17 goals adopting Common Household Data Bade approach
